HC Lugano's team manager Roland Habisreutinger has told Teleticino (relayed by HeShootsHeScoores) that they are working to find a solution with their defenseman Daniel Sondell to terminate his contract.

"I do not know when we can find a solution but Sondell will no longer play for Lugano," Habisreutinger tells. Yesterday, the Blick reported that Lugano had offered Sondell and Patrik Zackrisson to other teams. However, concerning Zackrisson, Habisreutinger denies this.

"Zackrisson will stay a Lugano player. We do not want to believe that he cannot adapt to the Swiss League," Habisreutinger adds. The 29-year-old Swede has only managed to score five points (one goal, four assists) in twelve games for the Bianconeri this season.

Thus, it appears that Lugano will likely part ways with Daniel Sondell who has only played four games this season thus far due to an injury. The 32-year-old defenseman arrived in Lugano this summer after having played for EV Zug for two seasons.
