Maxime Macenauer's contract is expiring on November 14. As team manager Alex Chatelain tells Der Bund, it is still possible that the Canadian stays with the Bears.

The 27-year-old was signed as an injury replacement for Andrew Ebbett, but then sustained an injury at the end of September and only returned in mid-October. In nine games for the Bears, he has scored one goal and two assists.

In other news, SC Bern will still have to make do without Luca Hischier and Marc Reichert in the first game against Finnish team JYP Jyväskylä tonight. Macenauer will replace Reichert in the lineup.
