According to Le Matin (relayed by SwissHabs), Kévin Hecquefeuille is set to return to Switzerland and play for the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers for the rest of the season.

Apparently, he will join the NLB team on January 13 and stay with them for the remainder of the season. Hecquefeuille left the SCL Tigers this past summer after having played three seasons for them, scoring 91 points in 141 games.

However, Rapperswil's team manager Roger Maier told Die Südostschweiz in the afternoon that this is a hoax. They might, however, look for another import player for the playoffs; but there are no concrete plans at the moment.

This season, he played five games (five assists) for his youth team, the Gothiques d'Amiens, and had received a tryout opportunity from the Vienna Capitals. He did, however, decide to leave the Capitals after only four days due to personal reasons.
