Goaltender Robert Mayer (injury) and forwards Marco Lehmann, Sven Senteler, and Dario Simion (all three ill) will not be available to Patrick Fischer for the upcoming games against Sweden, the Czech Republic, and Finland.
To react to the defections, Patrick Fischer has added EV Zug's Attilio Biasca and EHC Biel's Mike Künzle to the Swiss roster for the SWISS Ice Hockey Games in Zurich. For Biasca, 20, this is the first call-up for the senior national team.
