Recalled by the New Jersey Devils following the lower-body injury to Kaapo Kahkonen, Akira Schmid will already return to the Utica Comets. Schmid spent last night's 5-2 loss against the Toronto Maple Leafs behind the bench as the backup. With the loss, Nico Hischier, Timo Meier, Jonas Siegenthaler, and the rest of the Devils have been eliminated from playoff contention.
