The 31-year-old defenseman underwent another knee surgery back in September and was expected to be out until Christmas. However, it now seems as if he will not be able to play this season at all.

In other news, Damien Brunner (knee injury) will not be able to play until mid-January at least. As for Julien Vauclair, he might be ready for a return; he had already resumed practicing during the Spengler Cup. Elvis Merzlikins, too, should be able to play tonight.
