NLA - Asked after the season to leave the Bianconeri, things have now finally come to an end, as Jacob Micflikier and HC Lugano agree to terminate their contract with immediate effect.

The 30-year-old forward joined HC Lugano in the middle of last season from Dinamo Minsk (KHL) and signed a two-year contract with them. Scoring 27 points in 35 games in the regular season, he contributed a lot to their offense during his stay.

However, come postseason time, Micflikier found himself being a healthy scratch a couple of times, only playing two of five games. Furthermore, after the Bianconeri's playoff out, he was asked to leave the team, which Micflikier at that time did not agree with at all.

Now things have changed, as the Canadian has found a new home with Linköping HC to replace Pär Arlbrandt (EHC Biel), as Aftonbladet reports. Micflikier's contract would have lasted until the end of the 2014/15 season.
