Because of the flares and smoke bombs, the referee had to stop the second period early. As a consequence, HC Lugano has decided to send a strong signal to those people and distance themselves from those "who have no respect for the values of sport and civilization and to protect the true fans".
The club will also analyze in depth the issue of security in the next couple of days in order to define their strategy for the upcoming championship. HC Lugano will make no further statements on this matter until further notice.
