If Raphael Diaz' situation in the NHL won't improve and his contract with the Calgary Flames won't get extended, it is quite possible that his NHL-career is over at the end of the current season. That would be bad for him, but great for EV Zug. Raphael Diaz still has a valid contract in Zug until 2016.
Still according to the Neue Luzerner Zeitung, EVZ would be ready for Diaz' return, as 35 per cent of his salary is paid by third-party capital. But of course, a decision won't be made before summer.
