NLA - According to the Neue Luzerner Zeitung, defenseman Simon Lüthi will stay with EV Zug for another two years. The 28-year-old has signed until 2017. On the other hand, Zug is no longer interested in signing GSHC's Romain Loeffel.

With Lüthi's signature, there are only six players left whose future still has to be sorted out: Pierre-Marc Bouchard, Sandro Zangger, Robbie Earl, Fabrice Herzog, Gianluca Hauser, and Samuel Erni. According to the same source, EV Zug is interested in keeping Erni on their roster. However, his future is closely tied to a possible return of Raphael Diaz next year.

The name of Geneva's defenseman Romain Loeffel, on the other hand, has been scratched out of team manager Reto Kläy's list. After signing Dominik Schlumpf from Lugano and the vague possibility of Raphael Diaz' return, EVZ would no longer have the money to pay Loeffel, too.
