Up to now, EHC Kloten has been only marginally involved in the revenue which was realised from the catering sales, as the City of Kloten rights had assigned the rights to the local company "GAHO Holding" for decades.
Thanks to constructive negotiations with the City of Kloten and a disclaimer on behalf of the "GAHO Holding" group concerning the still running contract, EHC Kloten managed to acquire the full catering rights for the SWISS Arena and Schluefweg-Center already as of the upcoming 2016-17 season.
"It's no secret that EHC Kloten has been claiming the catering rights already for quite some time," Lehmann states and adds: "The fact that with myself a business man with own big firms in the region is now leading the club certainly had a positive impact on the negotiations. We managed to convince the City of Kloten that we are able to ensure the level of quality with the existing resources and know how." (rlu)
