NLB - Contrary to recent rumors of an early departure to Canada, Denis Malgin has assured to GCK's team manager Simon Schenk, that he will stay in Switzerland and finish the 2014-15 season in Zurich.

Malgin was selected by the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies at this year's 2014 CHL Import Draft. It was rumored that he could decide to hurl himself into the North America adventure already after the World Junior Championship in Montreal and Toronto at the end of December.

As the Tages Anzeiger reports, the 17-year-old youngster has assured to GCK Lions' team manager Simon Schenk, that he is willing to stay and finish the upcoming season 2014-15 in Zurich.

In case of injuries within the ZSC Lions' squad, the talented center is expected to make his debut in the National League A.

In season 2013-14, Malgin was able to score 19 points (6 goals, 13 assists) in 38 games with the GCK Lions.
