The 49-year-old last served as head coach of the Italian national team. He will remain their coach, which is why he will be absent from August 27 to September 3 due to the qualification round for the Olympic Games.
Mair, who also coached the Schwenninger Wild Wings (DEL) for almost three season, will arrive in Thurgau on August 5. His contract runs through 2017. (mso)
