NLA - HC Ambrì-Piotta confirms the signings of the ZSC Lions' Mark Bastl, the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers' Sven Berger. They also announce the contract extension with their captain Paolo Duca.

In an interview with the Giornale del Popolo, head coach Serge Pelletier also adds that they are close to signing another Swiss player and once they have him under contract, they will focus on acquiring their two missing import players.

Mark Bastl, 34, joins the Biancoblù from the ZSC Lions. In 457 games for them, the forward has scored 86 goals and 91 assists. This season, he was only able to play in 35 games due to injury, but still put up 14 points. He has agreed to a two-year contract.

27-year-old defenseman Sven Berger is a product of the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers' organisation and has scored one goal and three assists in 49 games for them this season. He will also stay in Ambrì until the end of the 2016-17 season.

As for Paolo Duca, who has played the last eight season for his youth team, seven of them as their captain, he has extended his contract for two more years. This season, the 33-year-old forward has scored six goals and nine assists in 57 games. (mso)
