Severin Blindenbacher returned to the Lions in 2011, having played there before from 2005 to 2009. Over the course of his career, the now 33-year-old defenseman has already played 496 games for the Lions. Last season, he played 50 games for them, scoring 27 points.

Reto Schäppi is one of Zurich's home-grown talents. For his youth team, the 25-year-old forward has played 347 games thus far. Fabrice Herzog, on the other hand, joined the Lions last summer and managed to put up 24 points (eleven goals, 13 assists) in his first 38 games for them. Both Schäppi and Herzog will stay until 2019. (bsc)
