As the Krefeld Pinguine announce, Ness already arrived in Krefeld last night. "Martin will provide depth on the center position," Krefeld's coach Franz Fritzmeier says. "His young age offers a lot of potential. It's great that the signing has worked out at such short notice."

Also Martin Ness, who is in possession of both the Swiss and the German passport, is happy with the opportunity: "I'm looking forward to the adventure Germany, half of my family originates from here."

After having played 15 games for SC Bern this season, Ness was a healthy scratch for several games. Thus, the 23-year-old center and the Bears agreed to terminate their valid contract yesterday.
