The ceremony will take place at 7:30 pm, shortly before the game between the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers and EV Zug. Geyer will be seen off and have his jersey with the number six retired, as Die Südostschweiz reports.
The 37-year-old announced his decision to retire back in April. He played 16 seasons with the Lakers after joining them from EHC Chur in 2002. On May 1, he started a new job as coach in the club's youth department.
