Lakers looking for reinforcements, but GSHC's Simek not an option

Currently on the last place in the National League, the Lakers are interested in reinforcements. "We are currently looking at the import-market," team manager Roger Maier confirms to Klaus Zaugg (Watson). Their two Americans, defenseman Matt Gilroy and forward Casey Wellman, are still out at least until the end of the month.

CEO Markus Bütler does not just focus on imports: "If there are Swiss players who can help us, then we're intrested. But there aren't any," he says to the same source.

Genève-Servette HC's Juraj Simek does not seem to be an option. According to Zaugg, Simek's agent Dani Giger is driving up his clients price. "We will probably keep him," GSHC's coach Chris McSorley says.
