The club officially confirmed a previous report by the Helsingborgs Dagblad about Dennis Everberg moving to the shores of lake Zug. The Swedish forward, who was part of the Winnipeg Jets organization most recently, has agreed on a contract for the remainder of the 2018-19 season with the National League team.
"I've been following his development for several years now. He is in his prime and will help us with his playful and physical qualities," EVZ's team manager Reto Kläy comments the signing.
The 26-year-old winger and Swedish international signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Jets in July this year, however, was placed on unconditional waivers this Tuesday for the purpose of mutually-agreed termination of contract.
Everberg, who is a product of Rögle BK, has an experience of 70 NHL games with the Colorado Avalanche (three goals, nine assists) and 77 games on AHL level (48 points). Last season, he played with KHL's Omsk and Nizhnekamsk, for which he managed to record eleven goals and seven assists in 55 games.
