Currently playing with the Oji Eagles in Japan, 37-year-old Swiss-Canadian Dominic Forget arouses interest from Switzerland.

Will Dominic Forget return to Switzerland?
HC La Chaux-de-Fonds

"For some time now, I have received my Swiss passport and I have already traveled with it," the former forward of HC La Chaux-de-Fonds says in an interview with 20 Minuti. Knowing that he does not count against the import-player contingent, he is pondering a return to Switzerland. "There have already been discussions," he says.

According to Forget, various teams from Switzerland have taken an interest in him: "Knowing my situation, they might think of adding another element in view of the playoffs," he explains. "There have been contacts, but my answer is that now I'm with the Oji Eagles."

Over the course of his career, the 37-year-old has appeared in a total of 669 games in Switzerland's second-tier league, in which he put up 953 points (474 goals). He also suited up in the National League nine times for Genève-Servette HC and HC Ambrì-Piotta (four assists).

One of the interested teams, as the Aargauer Zeitung writes, is apparently EHC Olten. The club's team manager, Marc Grieder, confirms that they are in touch with Forget's agent. However, the Mice's would face a financial problem, as the budget for their Swiss League team is already exhausted and one of their current players would probably have to leave.

The same source writes that a return to HC La Chaux-de-Fonds is highly unlikely due to family-related reason. Apparently, Forget and his wife recently separated.
