According to a report from SwissHabs, Lausanne HC's defenseman has decided to hang up his skates at the age of only 26.

Borlat went through the youth organization of Lausanne HC and made his debut for the Lions' first team in the 2010-11 season. Overall, he appeared in a total of 129 National League games and 95 Swiss League games for LHC, recording five goals and seven assists.

Between 2012 and 2015, Borlat also suited up for First League's HC Star Lausanne as well as two teams from Switzerland's second highest League, HC La Chaux-de-Fonds and Martigny Red Ice (had to file for bankruptcy in 2017).
