The 54-year-old thus leaves the Malmö Redhawks, but he will not return to Switzerland, where he was reportedly on the SCL Tigers' list of candidates as a possible successor of Heinz Ehlers. Andersson will remain in Sweden's top league and take over in Brynäs.
Around two weeks ago, the Berner Zeitung reported that there are four candidates for the SCL Tigers' vacant head coaching position: Lars Leuenberger (SC Bern), their current assistant coach Rikard Franzén, Michael Liniger (GCK Lions), and Peter Andersson. Now, the Tigers can cross Andersson's name off their list.
