It also remains to be seen how many players they will be able to hire given the financial impact the coronavirus has on all hockey teams. As he tells the Journal du Jura, it might also be possible that they are only able to start the season with three import players.

As the same source reports, Marc-Antoine Pouliot's contract extension will soon be announced. He has agreed to a one-year deal. Steinegger would also like to start the season with an import defenseman, it has yet to be determined whether this will be someone new or someone who already played for EHC Biel.

For the fourth import player spot, they would like to add a forward. David Ullström would be a candidate provided that they will have the financial means to add a fourth player. Christian Djoos, Gustav Forsling, and Joel Persson, who are also of interest to Biel have not been issued offers yet.
