Covid-19 might cause the defenseman to postpone his move to Canada.

Ralph Stalder had a plan for this year. Finish the season with HC Fribourg-Gottéron, hang up the skates and permanently move to Canada, where the 33-year-old owns a house and usually spends there his summers. However, his visa application has not yet been approved, and due to Covid-19, that might not happen anytime soon, Blick writes.

A solution would be to just add another season. "I have always left a door open and clearly communicated that in the talks with Fribourg", Stalder states.

The defenseman was a member of the Dragons for the last four years. Prior to that, he played multiple seasons with Lausanne HC and EHC Basel, while also making appearances for EHC Biel, EHC Olten, SC Langenthal and Genève-Servette HC.
