"The risk of injury is too high," Michael Rossi, his father, tells the Vorarlberger Nachrichten, when asked about a potential deal with the ZSC Lions. "For us, it is a matter of waiting." He will thus definitely not suit up for a European team before being drafted. He has, however, been invited to practice with the ZSC Lions in August.

The Austrian forward was part of the ZSC Lions' organization from 2014 to 2018. In 2018, he joined the Ottawa 67's in the OHL. He is considered to be a top-ten pick for the 2020 NHL Entry Draft which has been postponed due to the NHL's return-to-play plan amidst the corona pandemic.
