The Canadian forward, third-best scorer on the team last season, will stick around for another year.

Often on the ice: Ben Maxwell

The SCL Tigers have signed Ben Maxwell to a one-year extension. "Maxwell provides a lot of leadership. His qualities, inter alia, in the face-off dot and in special teams, greatly enrich our team", Marc Eichmann comments. The team manager also states that they regularly have been in contact with Maxwell over the last few months and are happy to have reached an agreement.

Having joined them from the KHL's Spartak Moskva last summer, the 32-year-old has put up 16 goals and 17 assists in 48 games for the Tigers. With an average of 22:48 total ice time per game, he was the most-utilized forward last season.

Langnau is still scouting the market for additional import players. Besides Maxwell, they currently only have Robbie Earl signed.
