According to Daniel Nugent-Bowman (The Athletic), it looks like the Edmonton Oilers will loan Gaëtan Haas to a Swiss team for the autumn. While he did not comment on which team it will be, SC Bern might be the likely choice, given the fact that he would have returned to the Bears if he had not signed another NHL deal.
This possibility is confirmed by Marc Lüthi, CEO of SC Bern, who reveals to Watson that they are still working out the details, but believes that the temporary return of Gaëtan Haas can be financed.
Haas signed his second NHL contract back in April and will thus get the opportunity to play another season in North America. In 58 regular-season games for the Oilers last season, he recorded five goals and five assists.
