Antti Törmänen also talked about his future with EHC Biel in his interview with the Finnish news outlet. His contract with the Seelanders expires after this season. As he states, a return to the bench is at the earliest possible in the 2021-22 season, but the club already knew that.
Törmänen was diagnosed with cancer this past July. He underwent major surgery and had to have cancer treatments for six months. Lars Leuenberger took over Törmänen's coaching duties for the 2020-21 season.
