The Swede seems to be a candidate for one of the two planned import slots on defense for next season.

A Swede for the Bulls?

With EV Zug losing two of their top defensemen in Raphael Diaz and Santeri Alatalo, they apparently plan to acquire two imports to replace them. One of them could be Niklas Hansson, as Zentralplus reports.

The Swede, currently suiting up for the SHL's leader, Rögle BK, has an out-clause in his contract for the end of this season. There seems to be a chance that Hansson will try his luck overseas one more time. From 2017 to 2019, he was part of the AHL's Texas Stars, but returned home to Sweden afterward.

Another option would be Zug. His former coach with Rögle, Dan Tangnes, happens to be the Bulls' head coach. In addition, the EVZ Academy's head coach Roger Hansson also used to be active in Rögle's organization.
