In view of a possible League Qualification in early April, Kloten would have to sign an additional import already until mid-February.

Criticizes the transfer deadline: Per Hånberg.

"A stupid rule and a waste of money for everyone," EHC Kloten's head coach Per Hånberg calls transfer deadline on February 15 in an interview with Der Landbote. The reason: With three import-players allowed during a possible League Qualification in early April (as opposed to only two in the Swiss League), they have to decide until mid-February if they want to add another import-player.

In the most extreme case, the newly hired import would have to sit out for almost two months until the League Qualification starts. "But how do you find an import-player who is willing to sign for two months but never play," Hånberg asks. If Kloten will actually add another foreigner has not yet been decided, but Hånberg states: "Of course I want a third import."
