EHC Visp's two import players, Mark Van Guilder and Troy Josephs, will both remain with the club for another season. They lead the team in scoring this past season, with Josephs collecting 57 points, six more than Van Guilder.

With Patric Hofstetter and Jan Petrig, two youngsters will also stay with Visp for another year.

The club from the Valais also announced the signing of HC La Chaux-de-Fonds's Makai Holdener to a one-year-contract. The forward already suited up nine times for Visp in the 2016-17 season. With HCC, he put up 16 goals and 16 assists in 47 games.

Two other additions consist of defensemen Valentin Pilet (from HC Ajoie) and Pascal Blaser (from EHC Winterthur), both of them also for a year.

Last but not least, Visp acquired the b-licence of SC Bern's new forward Simon Sterchi.

As the Walliser Bote writes, team manager Bruno Aegerter was given CHF 200,000.- more to spend than last season. However, they might not be able to comply with their budget, as there might be losses due to Covid-19 and sponsors not being able to stay on board, CEO Sébastien Pico mentions.
