The Rockets team manager Sébastien Reuille explained in an interview with HeShootsHeScoores how he is shaping his team for the 2020-21 season. About half the roster is currently on tryout contracts and now, after their first preseason games, a first cut has been made to shape the roster.
Reuille stated that two more such cuts will be made during the next week "to get a more and more precise idea of what the team we're building will look like." One important piece will be the second import player.
HC Ambrì-Piotta has loaned Czech forward Jiří Novotný to the Rockets, and the team can receive another player from their second National League associate HC Lugano. Though Reuille stated that this will be an issue to discuss once the leagues know their definitive schedule for the 2020-21 season.
