Le Temps, Radio RFJ and the Tages-Anzeiger reported earlier today, it would not be sure if HC Ajoie will actually play in the National League next season - even if they were to earn themselves the promotion through another victory over EHC Kloten tonight or on Friday. Later today, MySports tweeted an interview with Denis Vaucher where the Director of the National League confirmed Ajoie's intention to promote.
According to Le Temps, HC Ajoie is - as any other club - stricken by the pandemic. The club's management, who applied for a promotion to the National League in the fall of 2020, did not anticipate the extent and the severity of the pandemic, Le Temps writes. The Tages-Anzeiger adds that the Ajoulots are currently looking for money.
In case they were to decide against a promotion, they would have had to inform the SIHF before tonight's game to avoid sanctions, Radio RFJ reports.
