While the Swiss League club removed a lot of the temporarily installed seats in the arena, the seats in Sector C will remain.

"We want to retain maximum flexibility," EHC Olten's CEO Patrick Reber tells the Oltner Tagblatt. This decision will give EHC Olten about 700 seats more than in the 2019-20 season. Asked whether they will keep this up beyond the upcoming season, Reber had this to say: "We will have to gain experience first."

It is, however, not their goal to not have a standing room anymore. "We still have a lot of standing room on offer, only about 25 to 27 percent of the total capacity will be seats," Reber states. "That's one of the lowest figures of all Swiss stadiums."

In other news, EHC Olten's former coach Fredrik Söderström has also found a new job: he will serve as a TV analyst for Cmore and TV4 and thus take a break from coaching.
