The 19-year-old forward has signed a two-year deal with the ZSC Lions' organization. It is his first professional contract.

As he tells La Gruyère, he is slated to play for the GCK Lions for the next two seasons but might get a chance, if he plays well, to get a game or two in the National League as well.

"It's a dream [come true]. When I signed with Winterthur, there was still a lot of uncertainty about what would happen next," Schaller stated. "I didn't know what I was going to do next season and I had a lot of questions. Even on the ice. I was over the moon when I heard that Zürich wanted to offer me a contract."

Schaller played for HC Fribourg-Gottéron's U20 team, HC Sierre and EHC Winterthur last season. For the latter, he recorded two goals and two assists in 13 games.
