The National Council did not agree with the Council of States on the support for sports clubs. It rejected a proposition that the clubs should no longer be forced to reduce wages when they apply for so-called à-fonds-perdu contributions. The verdict in the National Council was clear: 130 votes against, only 48 in favor (11 abstentions).

Before that, the Council of States had agreed to remove the provision from the Covid-19 law, but only thanks to the decisive vote of the president of the small chamber. On Wednesday, the Council of States will continue the discussion about the Covid-19 law.
