As Skellefteå AIK announced today, they have signed David Rautio to a five-week deal. The 38-year-old last was a member of the SCL Tigers for the latter parts of the 2022-23 season. He only suited up for them one time though.
" It feels good and very exciting", Rautio notes. "I have faced Skellefteå many times and it has always been super tough, so it will be exciting and challenging to be here and play."
For the Swede, the move is a return to his home country, where he also spent most of his career so far. What will come after the five weeks have passed remains to be seen.
