Vincent Praplan tells Le Nouvelliste (news relayed by SwissHabs) that he now sees better prospects since he is part of the Florida Panthers' organization and that he has not yet had any contact with clubs in Switzerland. Nonetheless, his contract expires at the end of the season and he will be a restricted free agent. Whether he will be able to stay with the Panthers or find another NHL team remains to be seen. Back in February, the Berner Zeitung reported an interest of SC Bern for the upcoming season.

In an interview with La Liberté (news relayed by SwissHabs), Yannick Rathgeb says that he does not want to regret anything by coming back in Switzerland too soon and therefore intends to honor also the second year of his contract with the organization of the New York Islanders, even if he had to change teams during the summer. Moreover, the defenseman would not be against returning to Fribourg if he were to return to Switzerland in 2020.

Both players are currently in Switzerland with the Swiss national team, preparing for the World Championship.
