Vatanen has recorded two goals and eight assists in eleven Champions Hockey League games for Genève-Servette HC this season, whilst being on the ice for more than 23 minutes per game.
The five players nominated for the award were selected by "an expert jury from across Europe". The fans will, however, also be able to help the players win the LGT MVP award, as they can vote for their favorite player. Their votes will count 50% towards the final result. The poll opens on Sunday, January 14, at 17:00 CET and closes on January 21 (23:55 CET).
