Four players who earn their money in Switzerland are part of France's 25-man-roster for the preparation camp, which takes place from 25 to 31 July: Eliot Berthon (Genève-Servette HC), Tim Bozon, Floran Douay (both Lausanne HC), and Kévin Bozon (EHC Winterthur).
The preparation camp takes place one month before the Olympic qualification tournament in Riga, Latvia 
, where France will fight for their spot in the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing, China. In Riga, they will face Latvia, Italy, and Hungary.
