After he had been cut from HC Fribourg-Gottéron's roster already this summer, the Canadian defenseman Joel Kwiatkowski has finally found a new employer: MODO Hockey of the Swedish Hockey League.

After five seasons in Switzerland, the 38-year-old starts a new adventure in Sweden. With MODO Hockey, he has signed a contract for the rest of the 2015-16 season. He will join the team as soon as possible.

The native of Saskatoon, Canada came to Switzerland in 2010 when he joined SC Bern for two season, before moving on to Fribourg. Over these five years, he has played 272 NLA-games and put up 117 points (44 goals, 73 assists). (tme)
