Fey was dealing with a muscular pain and had to sit out Game 5 of the quarterfinal series against HC Ambrì-Piotta. On the other hand, as already reported yesterday, Marc-Antoine Pouliot will not play today, however he might be able to play on Thursday.
Also absent today in Game 1 of the semifinal between EHC Biel and SC Bern is Gaëtan Haas, who has not recovered yet from the injury he sustained during the fifth game of the quarterfinal series against Genève-Servette HC.
