For how long Philippe Furrer will be out is not yet known, as head coach and team manager Christian Dubé says to the Freiburger Nachrichten: "He has to undergo some tests. I really can't tell if there's a threat of a longer absence." According to Dubé, Furrer sustained the injury already in Thursday's game against Zug, but suited up on Saturday nevertheless.
Philippe Furrer has appeared in 28 games for HC Fribourg-Gottéron this season so far, in which he recorded a total of seven points (two goals).
