According to Marc-André Berset (RTS Sport), HC Fribourg-Gottéron has signed the forward for three seasons.

The Canadian forward has apparently signed with HC Fribourg-Gottéron for three years starting from the next season. So far in this season, he played 29 KHL games with Avangard Omsk, where he put up 14 points.

David Desharnais already played for HC Fribourg-Gottéron during the NHL lockout in 2012, when he recorded 16 points in 16 games. Overall, the 32-year-old played 575 NHL games in which he recorded 299 points.
