According to Marc-André Berset (RTS), there is a new deal on the table that could keep goaltender Robert Mayer in Geneva.

Salary reduction for GSHC's Robert Mayer?

Although Mayer's contract with Genève-Servette HC is still valid for the next two seasons, rumors about an early departure have been circulating. As Berset now reports, there is a new option for Mayer to stay in Geneva: a lower salary as of next season in exchange for an extension of his contract. An agreement which has not been signed yet, though.

Robert Mayer has been part of Genève-Servette HC since his return from North America in 2014. This season, the 29-year-old shares his job with Gauthier Descloux and thus has only appeared in 20 games, in which he posted a 3.41 goals against average and a save percentage of 87.94 %.
