As Klaus Zaugg writes in the Schweiz am Wochenende, SC Bern's Marc Lüthi has supposedly tasked Chief Sport Officer Raeto Raffainer with planning a farm team project.
SC Bern mostly loans their young players to EHC Visp, SC Langenthal, or HC La Chaux-de-Fonds to gain some more experience. While this provides the players with the opportunity to play at a higher level, the systems of those teams differ from SC Bern.
Creating a farm team might rectify that situation. However, with the Swiss League not being interested in having farm teams in their league, the question remains where one would place such a team.
