As already confirmed by the AHL team earlier, Cody Goloubef has found a new employer in SC Bern. It will be the first time that the defenseman, who was a second-round pick for the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2008, will play outside of North America. He will stay with SCB until the end of the current season.

"Cody Goloubef is a strong two-way defender who will bring leadership and experience to our team for the remainder of this season", team manager Andrew Ebbett states.

While Goloubef played in over 160 NHL games, he spent the majority of his career in the AHL. The defender was signed to a professional tryout contract in early December 2021 and appeared in eleven games for the Belleville Senators, recording one goal.
