Negotiations between HC Fribourg-Gottéron and their head coach and team manager Christian Dubé "have progressed well," according to Waeber. "The discussions are going in the right direction," he tells La Liberté and says that a few points still have to be settled before the new agreement can be signed.
For Waeber, however, it is clear that this matter cannot wait any longer, although Dubé's current contract is valid for the upcoming season. The reason is that Dubé is not only head coach, but also team manager: "A team manager must already be able to prepare for the 2023-24 season."
