Yannick Herren will thus no longer be a member of HC Fribourg-Gottéron. His contract would still have lasted until next summer, but the 31-year-old did not figure in head coach and team manager Christian Dubé's plans any longer.
Herren became a Dragon in 2020 but Dubé did not count on him all that much anymore since last autumn. In November, he was loaned to HC Lugano, where he spent the rest of the season.
