National League

Whereas Nicolas Baechler and Marlon Graf were already part of the Lions' organization this past season, Vinzenz Rohrer returns from Canada.

With the goal of pushing the integration of young players in the first squad, the ZSC Lions have signed three youngsters to two-year professional contracts. Nicolas Baechler, 19, and Marlon Graf, 20, mostly played for the GCK Lions in the past years but also appeared in a few games with ZSC.

As for Vinzenz Rohrer, he returns to the ZSC Lions after two years in OHL with the Ottawa 67's. Having gone through the Lions' organization before leaving for Canada, the 18-year-old Austrian holds a Swiss player's license. Rohrer was drafted in the third round of the 2022 NHL entry draft by the Montreal Canadians and collected 113 points in 133 OHL games.

Finally, the ZSC Lions also communicate that Daniil Ustinkov, the talented 16-year-old Swiss-Russian defender who debuted in the National League this past season, will not make the jump to North America yet. He will thus get the chance to get more playing experience in the Swiss League as well as in the National League.
